Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Kochi – Fort Kochi Heritage and Kathakali

Welcome to Kerala! Meet your chauffeur at Kochi airport/railway station and transfer to your hotel. Later, explore Fort Kochi’s Chinese Fishing Nets, St. Francis Church, and the colourful lanes of Jew Town with its spice and antique markets. See the exterior of Mattancherry Palace (interiors optional, time-permitting). In the evening, enjoy an expressive Kathakali performance (family-friendly, with makeup demonstration on request). Overnight in Kochi.

Day 2: Kochi to Munnar – Waterfalls and Tea-Carpeted Hills

After breakfast, drive 4 hours to Munnar, stopping at Cheeyappara and Valara Waterfalls for photos. Check in and unwind amid rolling tea gardens. Later, visit Pothamedu View Point or take a gentle plantation walk. Resorts here offer lawns, play areas, and campfires—perfect for kids. Overnight in Munnar.

Day 3: Munnar Sightseeing – Eravikulam, Tea Museum and Dams

Spend the day discovering Munnar: Eravikulam National Park (closed seasonally; alternate visit to Lakkom Waterfalls/Top Station), KDHP Tea Museum for a live demo and tasting, Photo Point, Rose Garden, Mattupetty Dam and Echo Point. Optional speedboat ride at Mattupetty and a relaxed evening at the resort. Overnight in Munnar.

Day 4: Munnar to Thekkady – Spice Trails and Periyar

Drive 3–4 hours to Thekkady through cardamom hills. Check in and tour a fragrant spice plantation to learn about pepper, vanilla, and cloves. Head to Periyar Lake for a shared-boat wildlife viewing (subject to availability; morning/evening slots). Optional Kalaripayattu martial arts show or cultural dance in the evening. Day 5: Thekkady to Alleppey – Private Houseboat Cruise

After breakfast, transfer 3.5 hours to Alleppey and board your private family houseboat by noon. Sail past emerald paddy fields and village life, with freshly cooked Kerala meals on board. Day 6: Alleppey to Kumarakom – Backwater Resort and Birdlife

Disembark after breakfast and drive 45 minutes to Kumarakom. Check in to a serene backwater resort. Spend the day at leisure—pool time, pedal boating, or a visit to Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary for easy trails ideal for children. Day 7: Departure from Kumarakom/Kochi – Until Next Time
